Katran Stack

Katran is a Hindi-name for a small useless fabric cutting. Those having an idea about how stacks of fabric are cut using fabric cutters, will make out the red part. It is a 2-inch long left-over strip from the sides of a 100-m stack of fabric, called ‘kannii’. This stack came inside a pile of donated fabric scrap from a factory. Our team leader Huma sew each 2 inch piece one onto another and another and another. Finally , a red pleated cloth piece was born. She then combined it with a similar blue stack of strips and camouflaged the joints again. See the patience and perseverance gone into this wristlet, a clutch.
