We are a group of self-motivated women from the town of Amroha, U.P., India. Our products are a reflection of our traditional hand skills coupled with a desire to create wealth out of waste. The modus operandi : we collect fabric cuttings from factories, the learners stitch each bit by bit to make a cloth, the skilled ones design into bags, pouches, wallets, table runners, cushion covers, wall mounted landscapes and the like. If you love to use handmade, do connect with us. We also custom design used fabrics, upholstery and anything lying in your closet to give you new-look reusable items. You will but marvel the creativity and the talent of our pink brigade.
Our Story
Some of us who were into bidi-making have also joined the bandwagon. Bidi making is a livelihood of many under-privileged women in India, including the locals in and around Amroha. Needless to say, it’s cancerous and low paying. For those who haven’t heard of it, Bidi is a handmade mini-cigarette. We started with the motivation to provide these women a higher paying, safer, healthier and creative alternative while at the same time saving the planet from extra waste. Thus our non-profit was born. With time, victims of domestic violence, widows and women with a desire to make best use of their time also joined hands with us.
